Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Alicia Rodriguez, 88 years old. Alicia passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 7, 2025 in Santa Paula, CA. Born on May 26, 1937 in Zamora, Michoacán to her parents, Jose y Maria Tadeo. Alicia had three brothers and four sisters, they grew up together in Zamora. At 18 years old, Alicia moved to Chicago, IL with her older sister, Elena, where they both began working as seamstresses. Alicia and her sister, Elena, each had a strong work ethic and were motivated to support their family in Mexico.

Alicia had four children; Jaime, Ricardo, Lidia, and Diego. In 1968, Alicia and her children moved to Ventura County, Ca, where they settled in Santa Paula. Alicia began working as a seamstress at the Olga Company in 1972 where she made life long friends and retired after 25 years. The devotion Alicia had to her children was demonstrated by the sacrifices she made. Alicia's faith in the Lord and the love for her family, listening to mariachi music, watching Novelas, baking our favorite cookies, making tamales and authentic Mexican food will forever be in the minds and hearts of those close to her, especially her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Alicia is survived by her children: Ricardo (Lorraine) Rodriguez, Lidia (Ruben) Sanchez, and Diego Rodriguez, and daughter-in-law Dolores Rodriguez. Alicia is preceded in death by her son, Jaime Rodriguez (2014).

Our family would like to thank her caring staff at Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital, and all our family and friends for their prayers during our mother's brief illness.
