Angus Max "Mac" McFarren, cherished father, grandfather, and uncle, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 9, 2025, at his home in Oxnard, California, surrounded by loved ones. He was 88 years young.
Born on February 25, 1937, on the family farm in Ferry Township, Michigan, to Irving and Jessie McFarren, Mac grew up in the Muskegon suburbs as one of nine siblings. From a young age, he exhibited boldness, charisma, and a fearless zest for life—traits that would come to define him.
Mac embraced a rich and adventurous life, wearing many hats over the years: pilot, Justice of the Peace, and recreational program director. He honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1961 and later spent four decades as a respected professional in property management.
True to his nature, Mac lived life unapologetically—guided by a strong moral compass and unwavering authenticity. His Christian faith was a cornerstone of his life, and he was a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.
He leaves behind a loving legacy and will be deeply missed by his brother, Bruce McFarren, and sister-in-law, Lupe McFarren, of Green Valley, Arizona; his beloved son, Aaron Taylor Michael Wilson, and daughter-in-law, Xylina Wilson; and his treasured grandchildren, Nova and Jonah Wilson, all of Oxnard, California.
Mac's generous spirit, unforgettable presence, and enduring faith will continue to inspire all who had the honor of knowing him.
