Anita
Ramirez
Jul 25, 1935 — Feb 5, 2024
Santa Paula
Our loving mother and grandmother, Anita C. Ramirez, peacefully passed away February 5, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Anita was born July 25, 1935 to Joe and Anita Reyes. She was the the fifth daughter joining older sisters Ruby, Sally, Rachel, Eliza and brother John.
Ana, as she was known, was a life long resident of the beautiful city of Santa Paula. She attended the public schools there graduating from Santa Paula High School in 1953.
She was a hairstylist by trade, and was the proud and successful owner of her own business, Style Crest Hair Salon, which she owned for over 50 years. Ana was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. She has been described by many as a strong, classy, hardworking, loving, selfless and generous woman.
Ana loved spending time with her large extended family, and excelled at dancing, cooking, baking, but most of all just laughing and making sure everyone was happy. She was the rock and foundation of the family and will be dearly missed by all. She is quite simply irreplaceable, and was a woman of strong faith and a devout follower of the Catholic faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Manual, daughter Gloria, sisters Ruby, Sally and brother John. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Ramirez, Corinne Vega, sisters Rachel Aguilar, Eliza Nava, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces from the Reyes and Ramirez families.
The agony of losing your Mom cannot be expressed, nor can the many loving hours spent caring for her while she endured her serious health issues. Her life was filled with many happy times and she fondly remembered them one by one. But as the last days went on, and her journey came to an end, she took comfort in the Lord, who promised her "Do not be afraid, you will walk among the Angels".
We would like to thank her granddaughters, Simone and Salama Vega, for always helping out with their Nana. A very special thank you to nephew Carlos Camacho, who always brought her favorite "goodies" and to her niece Sylvia Castillo, for her undying love and sage advice.
Finally, we thank Jesus for giving Patricia and Corinne the strength, honor and love in caring for our beautiful mother these last four years.
