Anthony
Martinez
Sep 14, 2004 — Jun 17, 2024
Our beloved and cherished Anthony "Tony" Martinez left us on June 17, 2024. Tony was born on September 14, 2004, in Ventura. He was the cherished son of Edelmira and David Martinez and loving brother of David Jr., Henry and Jessica Martinez. Tony is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Rosa & David Cerda and his uncle Oscar Martinez Monzon.
Tony had a natural talent for the arts, especially for drawing, painting, and playing guitar.
His
art
could be found filled in his notebooks, on his bedroom walls, and hand-painted on
his
skateboard decks. While at home, Tony enjoyed playing video games online with cousins
and
friends or cooking and taste testing the food his mom and older brother would prepare. He was
drawn toward the outdoors and would often be seen skateboarding and
riding his bike around
Oxnard or on his way to work at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Summer was not complete for Tony
without days spent soaking up the sun at the beach and diving into the
waves. Trips to the snow-covered
mountains in the winters is where Tony discovered his snowboarding skills while
carving through the snow. He was soft spoken but quick witted, especially if challenged to a rap
battle! He loved listening to music and often wrote his own lyrics.
He attracted everyone around him with his infectious smile, kind heart, and loving nature. When he walked into a room, he made sure to greet all his family with a hug. Tony was fun loving and adventurous! His curiosity and kindred spirit led him and his cousins on many unforgettable escapades. He cared deeply for his family and was always there for us. He was one of those people who listened with empathy and offered the kindest words of comfort. He had dreams to better himself and contribute to the world. A goal he accomplished as he managed to touch the hearts and lives of so many! He loved and sought God throughout his life and now he rests in God's loving embrace.
We will miss our beloved Tony and will forever carry his memory in our hearts and thoughts.
