OXNARD - Barbara Fay (White) Millines of Oxnard, CA passed away peacefully to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. She was born on September 18, 1933, in Burleson County, Texas, better known as "Smith's Bottom". Barbara is the 4th child born to Alphonso White and Rebecca (Hunter) White.

At the age of six, Barbara gave her life to the Lord and was baptized in the Brazos River. She united with the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, which was founded and organized by her great, great paternal grandmother in the community of Teals Prairie, Texas. In 1967, Barbara relocated to Oxnard, California and joined the Evangelistic Missionary Baptist Church in Port Hueneme under the leadership of founder Pastor Albert D. Southall. It was here in California that Barbara met the love of her life, Faite Millines, while he was serving in the United States Navy at Naval Base Ventura County, Port Hueneme. She is the proud mother of three biological children, one grandchild and foster mother to at least 15 children.

Barbara attended Smith Elementary and High School, which was founded and organized by her great, great paternal grandmother Smith and family in Texas. Education was especially important to Barbara; she encouraged everyone she met that education was the key to success. She received her Cosmetology License and went on to own and operate her own Beauty Salon for many years. Barbara earned her real estate license and went on to purchase many real properties. She also received her license to serve as a Foster Parent. She nurtured and cared for at least fifteen children.

Barbara was a resolute and steadfast member of Evangelistic Missionary Baptist Church (EMBC) for 60 years. She held several offices and worked in various ministries. Barbara actively participated in Sisterhood and

Mission. She sang in the Women's Day choir and served as Mission president. Barbara served as EMBC Business manager, Trustee Board and Future Plans Chairperson. During these office tenures, Barbara led in the acquisition and pay off both current EMBC properties.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband of Faite Millines and daughters- Dr. Ruby Durias, Larita Montgomery, and granddaughter- Khalilah Durias; brother-Howard (Tonda) White of Caldwell, TX; sister- Nancy Hearne of Houston, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
