Bernarda Barron, 66, went to heaven peacefully on May 29, 2026, in Bakersfield, California.

Born on September 5, 1959, in Tijuana, Baja California. Bernarda lived the majority of her life in Oxnard, California. A life centered on love, family, and loyalty to those she cherished most. She touched many lives with her strength, commitment, kindness, fierce fire, and a caring spirit, leaving behind memories that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Bernarda was the beloved daughter of Adelina Sotelo Barron and Manuel Ignacio Ibarra.

Bernarda is survived by her partner Arnulfo Cervantes, her sister Guadalupe Barron Duarte, and her children Teresa Imelda Barron, Jose Ignacio Barron, Manuel Barron Cervantes, and Maria Del Refugio Barron Cervantes. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Adelina Santiago, Annessa Santiago, Octavio Chavez, Manuel Jr. Cervantes, Tony Santiago, Francisco Cervantes, Eli Moran, and Michael Cervantes. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren Aleiah Araujo, Hailie Grace Martinez, and Alannah Imelda Araujo, who brought her immense joy and pride. She was a Tía to many beautiful nieces and handsome nephews who will greatly miss her.

She will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends. Her spark will carry on in many generations to come and to those who knew her. She will be greatly missed. In every shape and form, she impacted those around her, professionally and personally. During her time working for the County of Ventura, she dedicated herself into helping the community within the county.

Preceded by her parents, Adelina Barron and Ignacio Ibarra, and siblings Angelina Barron Hernandez, Francisco Barron, and her beloved grandson Joseph Cervantes.

Her presence will be greatly missed but never forgotten. We will always love you, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister and Tía.
