Obituary

She was born in Chicago to Philip and Hilda Kaplan on December 26, 1946 and passed away at her home in Leisure Village from natural causes, with her husband Don at her side on April 26, 2024.

Carolyn was married to David Kasso and they lived in Arizona. Upon David's passing she returned to Camarillo to resume her career in Government Contracting. Some of the companies she worked for include Vetco, John J. Mc Mullen, V.S.E., and Jacobs Sverdrup, where she was given the nickname of "Radar."

In her retirement she joined her husband in running their business, Don's Vacuum in Camarillo. They were forced to close the store in 2020 due to Covid. Then they enjoyed full retirement together.

Carolyn leaves behind her husband Don, her most loving daughter Sheryl Ann Parker, and two step sons, Rick and Grant Leidner, along with numerous grand and great grandchildren.                                                                                 No more pain, Mom.

There will be no local service, as she will be joining her parents in their family plot in Chicago. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity.
