April 20, 1958 - June 21, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Cecilia Magallanes, who left us on June 21, 2025 at the age of 67. Cecilia was born in El Paso, Texas. She made roots with her family in Oxnard, CA for over 60 years. She worked at the Oxnard Lemon Co., Kmart, and Michaels for many years. She was known as the heart of the family always making sure everyone around her felt loved and cared for. To know her was to love her. She was happiest when surrounded by our big loving family and of course rooting for her Dodgers (especially Freddie Freeman).

She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents Angel and Maria Dora Castanon, her brother Angel Castanon and her sister Martha Robles. She is survived by her children Lorena (Miguel) Arellano, Cristina Magallanes, Vanessa Magallanes, and Jaime (Bianca) Magallanes.

Her legacy continues through her eight grandchildren: Jasmine, Juan Carlos (Allison), Tony, Mariah, Gabriel, Andrew, Alex, and Jr; and one great grandchild Juan Carlos III. As well as her partner Daniel Ornelas and her siblings Carlos Gonzales, Maggie Coronado, Mary Montanez, Robert Castanon, Brenda Cerrato and many nieces and nephews.

Our hearts are broken but grateful we were allowed to enjoy her beautiful soul for 67 years on this earth. We will cherish all the beautiful memories created and the pictures left behind. May you rest in peace Mama Ceci, always loved and never forgotten.
