Born in El Paso, Texas on May 18, 1952, in a basement, yes, a basement, as noted on his birth certificate. Edward passed on August 27, 2024 in Oxnard, CA.

Edward worked for various jobs including the County of Ventura and the State of California. He retired in 2012 from the State of California.

He loved family, going to different casinos, going to concerts with his Toots from Santa Barbara to Las Vegas and swimming with his granddaughter Milanee. He loved his food and scratchers, you can always find him sitting at the kitchen table scratching his scratchers.

Edward is survived by his wife Lydia (his Toots) Arreola, sons Eduardo Jr. Ramon Arreola, and David Zuniga. Daughters Sonia Castro, Sylvia Romo, and Erica Hall, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Brother Johnny Arreola; Arizona, Sisters Hilda Mueller; Fillmore, Sarah Banuelos and Guadalupe (Pita) Franco; Fresno, and many nieces and nephews.

Edward is predeceased by his parents, Ruben Arreola and Maria G. Sanchez, his brothers, Ruben and Albert Arreola and sister-in-law Maudi Arreola.

Special thanks to son-in-law Earl and daughter, Erica Hall, friends Paul and Debbie Rodriguez who have been with us since the beginning of Eduardo's journey by driving him to and from Cedars Sinai and sister Hilda. A huge thank you to Erica and Sonia helping prepare for Edward's arrival at home. Also thank you to the outstanding doctors and staff at Cedars Sinai who grew to love Edward.
