"Fern" was born in Lenapah, Oklahoma to Schofield Collins and Mandy B. Starr after the passing of her mother she was raised by her uncle Owen and his wife Georgia Fauntleroy. She attended Lenapah school distict.

In 1954, she married Lavon Davis in Kansas City, Kansas. Lavon and Fern were married for 67 years, to this onion three children were born Stephanie, Patrick & Craig.

In January of 1967 her & Lavon decided to move to Oxnard, California. Fern began her career at St, John's Hospital from 1969 to 1999, after retiring she worked for the Hueneme School District. Fern enjoyed shopping and being with her family.

Fern will be sorely missed by her family & friends, Sandra Lewis, (Raphus, Deceased) Grand Rapid, Michigan. Stephanie Webb (Ralph, Deceased), Patrick (Sue) Craig. Grandchildren: Dr. Tia Lewis, Grand Rapid, Michigan. Eric Webb, Ashley Webb (Jesse), Kirstyn Davis Freeman, Stephen Davis. Great Grand Children, Joyona, J.T Jaila, Jacoby, Taylor, Adrian & Alyssa Luna-Webb, Kelaiah Freeman and caretaker Melissa Lester.
