It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Fortunato (Zarco) Marin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, brother and friend, who passed away on December 3, 2024 due to natural causes at the age of 88.

Fortunato was born to Porfirio and Rosario Marin in Cuquio, Jalisco, Mexico on February 19, 1936, and passed away in Santa Paula, California with his sons Javier Marin and Francisco Lozano by his side.

Fortunato was a hardworking man his entire life, working as a carpenter and general labor in Ventura County. He lived in Santa Paula for approximately 60 years. After his retirement, Fortunato would enjoy his walks throughout town and lengthy conversations with numerous friends. His life was dedicated to his wife of 60 years and his many grandchildren and great grandchildren

He was preceded in death by his wife, Consuelo Marin, his son Pedro Lozano, his brothers Alvaro and Manuel Marin, and grandchildren, Guadalupe and Jesus Balbosa. He is survived by his children, Francisco (Margarita) Lozano, Evangelina Lozano and Javier (Martha) Marin and his sister Eduviges Marin, he was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren!
