Herminia "Minnie"
P. Ramos
Apr 24, 1929 — Oct 21, 2025
With hearts full of love and faith, we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved matriarch, Herminia (Minnie) Ramos. Herminia was surrounded by her devoted family as her beautiful soul was called home to God on Tuesday morning October 21, 2025, at the age of 96.
Herminia was born on April 24,1929 in Los Angeles CA. Moving to Oxnard as a baby and spending most of her life in Oxnard, before moving to Port Hueneme.
She was a gentle light and a silent warrior — a woman whose quiet strength, kind heart, and radiant spirit illuminated the lives of all who knew her. She was a dutiful daughter, a devoted wife, a loving mother, a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loyal friend.
Her smile reflected the beauty of her soul — warm, pure, and filled with grace. She lived her 96 years as a true translation of love, teaching her family the values of kindness, humility, and devotion. Her faith was her foundation, and her life was a testament to the power of prayer, service, and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Miguel Ramos, whom she loved deeply. With grace and quiet strength, she weathered his passing in 2006 and continued to fill her days with purpose volunteering at the Oxnard Senior Center, partaking in the various activities where she built a community and touched many hearts. When not at the Center, she would enjoy crocheting and needlepoint. She found peace and happiness traveling and spending precious time with her family, who were always at the center of her world.
Herminia is survived by her six loving children: Rafael (Silvia), Carmen Ramos-Soriano (Robert), Lupe Zomorrodian(Mohammad), Miguel II (Martha), Bernardo (Daniela), and Manuel (Sonia). She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren — Matthew(Denise), Shadi, Sarah(Christopher), Miguel III(Amanda), Shayda, Mariel, Nicolas, Cynthia, Brianna, Jackie, Maya, Michelle, and Camille, as well as Kathryn(William), Samantha(Trevor) and Aiden — and her precious great-grandchildren Sofia, Isabella, and baby Chris, who brought her endless joy and laughter. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Rosa and Grace, whose devoted care and kindness brought comfort and companionship to our mother during her later years
Herminia's soul has crossed over into eternal peace, her spirit reunited with loved ones gone before her, and her memory will forever be a guiding light to those she leaves behind. Our mother will be deeply missed.
