Jeff Tashiyuki Hata beloved husband, father, son, and friend,

Jeff Hata, 68, was a lifelong resident of Ventura County. He was born in Oxnard and passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 18, 2025. A graduate of Hueneme High school and the University of St Cloud Minnesota, Jeff is survived by his wife, Rosandra Esquivel; his two children, Kyle and Caitlin Hata; his mother, Garce Hata; his loving in-laws, Oscar and Carmen Esquivel and countless friends who he considered family. He also leaves behind his cherished pup, Hartley. Jeff will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to his family, his community, and the many organizations he served.

Over the course of his career, he saw his career be eliminated by the digital camera and that led him to work for Anchor Printing where eventually became the owner. 10 years ago, Jeff joined The HR Firm where he worked alongside his wife Rosandra and headed the Safety division. Jeff was the Safety Director, an OSHA certified officer for multiple industries and most recently an ADA Compliance Officer.

Jeff served on the Board of Ventura Family YMCA, was past President of the Board of directors for The Poinsettia Pavillion, past Board member for Ventura Chamber of Commerce, Director for BNI Ventura County and as a proud Rotarian and two-time President with the Rotary Club of Ventura East, he lived by the 4-Way Test and embodied its values.

These were not words; it was how Jeff lived.  His legacy will endure through the love he shared with his family and the many ways he enriched his community. Jeff's life was a gift to all who knew him. He will be missed dearly and remembered always.
