Josephine "Fina" Serrata joined her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 22, 2024, in Oxnard, California; in the presence of three of her faithful loving children at her bedside. She was born March 19, 1935, in Brawley, California, to parents Aristeo and Teresa Sedeno. Her parents preceded her in death, along with her beloved brother Jose Francisco "Frank" Sedeno.

She is survived by her six children, Edward Lara (Lupe), Caroline Henry (Joe), Debra Olivera (Robert), Michael Serrata (Lydia), Teresa Serrata, and Sylvia Gonzales, 18 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Yolanda Howard, Aristeo Sedeno Jr. (Diane), and Richard Sedeno (Maria Elena).

Fina grew up in Delano, California and for the past 68 years she has lived in the Oxnard/Camarillo area. Fina performed singing at various community events throughout her earlier years bringing joy to many with her gift of song. She was forever singing and cooking for her family that she loved dearly. She will be greatly missed and will forever be in our hearts and minds.
