In Loving Memory of June Elizabeth Haynes (1951 – 2026)

With profound sadness and heartfelt love, we announce the passing of June Elizabeth Haynes, who peacefully departed this life on July 08, 2026, at the age of 74, following complications from End-Stage Kidney Disease at St. John's Regional Hospital in Oxnard, California. Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that June's journey is complete and that she now rests in eternal peace.

June Elizabeth Haynes was born on July 31, 1951, to the loving union of Elmer Waters and Zanella Mae Topps. Raised in Oxnard, California, she attended Haydock Jr. High and graduated from Oxnard High School. June built a life rooted in faith, family, resilience, and compassion. She continued her education and earned an AA Degree from Oxnard College. She worked for Port Hueneme Naval Base at the Administration of Government Contracts for the Procurement of all Civil Engineering Support Equipment & Naval Facilities Engineering Command for 37 years and 3 months.

June joined St. Paul Baptist Church of Oxnard led by Bishop B. A. Huggins in 2009. She charmed those around her and always spoke the unfiltered truth. Her only flaw was trusting in people that did not have her best interests at heart. She possessed a warm spirit, a gentle heart, and a quiet strength that touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. June's greatest joy came from the people she loved. Whether through her comforting words, welcoming smile, or unwavering support, she made others feel valued and cared for. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, grace, and unconditional love that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She will be truly missed.

She found and married her soul mate Larry Haynes, the love of her life. They got married in San Diego, California at Mission Beach on July 22, 2006, and settled down in Oxnard, California for 18 years. June was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Waters & Zanella Mae Topps, husband: Larry Haynes, sister: Patricia Ann Koontz, brother: Elmer Scott Waters. June was one of five children. She is survived by her brother Ronnie Waters; and sister, Sharon & her one and only son Willie George Erwin Jr.

Although June is no longer with us in person, the memories she created, the love she shared, and the lives she touched will remain with us always. Her life was a beautiful reminder that kindness, faith, and love are among the greatest gifts we can give.
