It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Luis Mendez Magdaleno, who left us on September 14, 2024, at the age of 75.

A dedicated hard worker and family man, Luis was born on June 1, 1949, in Michoacán de Ocampo, Mexico. He was raised and loved his hometown La Jabonera, where he met his wife, Maria. They were married on January 1, 1969, for 55 beautiful years. Luis and Maria moved to Ventura County in the late 60's. They worked in agriculture throughout California and would have 6 children together.

His kindness and humorous spirit left a mark on all who knew him.  As we celebrate his life, we remember his infectious laughter, love of singing to his favorite music. Sorrow fills our hearts, and we miss him dearly, but we know time will ease the pain.
Memories of him already bring smiles to our faces. We are comforted knowing that he is singing in Heaven and that we will be reunited one day.

Until then we will keep his memory alive in our hearts.
He leaves behind his wife Maria, Children Patricia Martinez (Sergio), Jose Mendez (Michelle), Florencio Mendez, Elizabel Mendez (Anthony) and Luis Mendez.
Grandfather to 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren
Brothers: Mario, Miguel, Joaquin, and Daniel, Sisters: Leonor, Lucilla and Margarita.

He is preceded in death by his parents Florencio Mendez Alfaro and Ysabel Magdaleno Mendez, Son Jose Luis Mendez and brothers Bulmaro Mendez and Arturo Mendez.
