Lupe (Anne) J. Reyes
May 22, 1949 – July 24, 2025

Lupe Anne Reyes, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at St. John's Hospital in Oxnard, California, at the age of 76.

Lupe was born on May 22, 1949, in Orange, California. Lupe worked for many years as a dedicated Secretary and retired from the NAVSEA Naval base in Port Hueneme, California in 2009. A lifelong learner, she proudly earned her associate's degree from Ventura College in 1976. She was known for her warm heart, strong faith, and incredible work ethic. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Robles Razo, her adoptive parents Erasmo and Cruz Reyes, grandson Jesus Alejandro Razo and ten brothers and sisters who located her after all being adopted years ago (Ruben, Joe (Slago), Evelynn, Sylvia, Elsie, Frankie, Eddie, Steve, Paul and Jenny).  All of which were of Cahuilla Indian descent.

Mom found her greatest joy in spending time with her family. She had a special love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and treasured every moment with them. She also enjoyed crocheting and attending church, where she nurtured her deep spiritual faith and sense of community.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in her five daughters: Lorraine Razo, Lillian Nichols (Kevin), Marisol "Boo Boo" Guerrero (Victor) of Oxnard, CA and Lupe "Lulu" Razo, and Nicole Razo of Phoenix, AZ. She was deeply cherished by her 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, with whom she shared countless joyful memories.

Lupe's life was one of quiet strength, kindness, and unconditional love. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lupe's life during visitation on Thursday, August 14, from 4:00pm to 9:00pm at Garcia Mortuary, 629 South A Street, Oxnard, CA 93030, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, August 15, at 10:00am at Garcia Mortuary with burial to follow at Santa Clara Cemetery, 2370 North H Street, Oxnard, CA 93036.
