Marilyn Harris Benefield, born May 21, 1932 in Ola, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026 in Camarillo, California, surrounded by the love of her family.

Marilyn moved to California in 1956 and dedicated more than 30 years to educating children as a teacher for the Hueneme School District. Marilyn was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Kenneth Benefield, her children, Donald Benefield, Susan (Greg) Ignacio, and Christopher Benefield, and her cherished grandchildren, Jay Noble, Sara Ignacio, and Hannah Ignacio. She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Beverly Noble.

Marilyn's kindness, dedication, and love for her family and friends will be remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched throughout her long and meaningful life.
