Mary Mata born January 11, 1954 in Ventura, CA passed away peaceful surrounded by her children and grandchildren May 11, 2026 after a brief illness. She is Survived by 5 children Ymelda Marin (Henry), Chanda Stockton (Patrick), Christina Mata, Katherine Schott (Glenn), Joseph Mata (Felicia), her 19 Grandkids and 10 Great Grandkids. Her husband Henry Mata and her mother Vera Ruiz.

She is proceeded in death by her Father Richard Ruiz, brothers Daniel and Johnny Ruiz, grandsons Keshaun Mata and Jorge  DeArcos Jr.  Along with her In-laws Miguel and Mary Mata, her brother in laws Joseph, Richard and Peter Mata.

Mary was a devoted mother and grandmother attending as many sporting events for her children and grandchildren as possible. She was a life long Dodgers and Lakers fan.

Mary was a graduate of Santa Paula high school and attended Sawyer College. She worked for Burpee Seeds, The Boys and Girls Club of SP, ARC and then for the County of Ventura for the last 16 years. She was once a member of the Kiwanas Club.
