It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Miguel Diaz Monarrez, a beloved son, brother and uncle, who passed away peacefully on February 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family and entered into the presence of the lord. Born on November 1, 1960, to parents Miguel Ortega Diaz and Enriqueta Monarrez Diaz in Tepehuanes, Durango, Mexico.
He was the youngest of the Diaz family. At the age of 12 yrs old, he migrated to the United States and relocated to Oxnard, California. During this time, he continued with his education and attended Fremont Junior High School and then continued his education at Oxnard High School and Channel Islands High School. Once completed high school he pursued a plant nursery occupation in Oxnard where he worked.
Miguel was predeceased by mother Enriqueta Monarrez Diaz and father Miguel Ortega Diaz. Miguel was a cherished brother to Consuelo Hernandez, Socorro Perez, Casimira Diaz, Eladio Diaz and Jose Diaz and a beloved uncle to Julio Hernandez, Gilberto Hernandez, Ricardo Hernandez, Omar Hernandez, Vanessa Hernandez, Efrain Diaz, Eliana Diaz, Maribel Diaz, Sonia Diaz and Lisette Diaz. Miguel touched the lives of countless family members and friends with his love, kindness, humor, infectious laugh, generosity and unwavering affection and kindness.
Uncle Miguel had a passion for watching "western and action movies", and enjoyed every Sunday afternoon watching his classic childhood movies. He had a love for the "ojo de vidrio" Mexican revolution-epic film that he enjoyed watching with his loved ones.

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Miguel Díaz Monárrez, amado hijo, hermano y tío, quien falleció en paz el 22 de febrero del 2025, rodeado de su amorosa familia y entró a la presencia del señor. Nació el 1er de noviembre de 1960, de padres Miguel Ortega Díaz y Enriqueta Monarrez Díaz en Tepehuanes, Durango, México.
Era el menor de la familia Díaz. A la edad de 12 años, emigró a los Estados Unidos y se trasladó a Oxnard, California. Durante este tiempo, continuó con su educación y asistió a secundaria Fremont Junior High School y luego continuó su educación en la preparatoria Oxnard High School y Channel Islands High School. Una vez terminada la preparatoria, se dedicó a trabajar en un vivero de plantas en Oxnard, donde trabajó.
Miguel fue predecesor de su madre Enriqueta Monarrez Diaz y de su padre Miguel Ortega Diaz. Miguel era hermano de Consuelo Hernández, Socorro Pérez, Casimira Díaz, Eladio Díaz y José Díaz y tío de Julio Hernández, Gilberto Hernández, Ricardo Hernández, Omar Hernández, Vanessa Hernández, Efraín Díaz, Eliana Díaz, Maribel Díaz, Sonia Díaz y Lisette Díaz. Miguel tocó las vidas de innumerables familiares y amigos con su amor, bondad, humor, risa contagiosa, generosidad e inquebrantable afecto y amabilidad.
Al tío Miguel le apasionaba ver películas del oeste y de acción. Disfrutaba cada domingo por la tarde viendo las películas clásicas de su infancia. Le encantaba el "ojo de vidrio" y el " tunco maclovio", películas épicas de la revolución mexicana que disfrutaba viendo con sus seres queridos.
