Nellie Macias Lopez, a lifelong resident of Oxnard has earned her angel wings on October 6, 2025 surrounded by her loving family following a short illness.
Born on December 27, 1932, Nellie attended local schools before graduating from Oxnard High School in 1951.
In Nellie's younger years, she worked as a salesclerk and model for The California Shop, where she became close friends of owners, Jerry and Jeri Wolf. Also, working for the Hoffman Family of Oxnard Drugs for many years.
Nellie then changed careers working for Security National Bank, starting as a teller and working her way up to Assistant Branch Manager until her retirement.
Nellie is survived by her daughter Linda Ponce, son-in-law Mike Ponce and only niece Kendra Davall, 7 grandchildren, as well as many great grandchildren and nephews.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents Manuel Acosta Macias and Rosie Escudero Macias, husband Arthur Luna Lopez, sons Albert Michael and Gerard Lopez, sister's Rachel Macias, Rita Maez, and grandson David A. Ortega Jr.
Nellie was known for her love of BINGO whether playing locally or her weekly bus trips to Chumash. This is where Nellie made many friends especially her loving caregiver Rosa De Santos and best friend Frances Robie.
