Oxnard resident since 1967, Rose Marie (Rosie) Rodriguez, took her last breath to be with her beloved husband in heaven, on October 23rd.
She and husband (Louis Rodarte Rodriguez) were wed in 1966, 4 years prior to the birth of their only child, Louie Rodriguez.

Rose was the 3rd youngest of 6 siblings, born to parents Cristabell and Ernest Stidham in Grass Valley, California.

She is survived by her son, Louie (Jimmy) and grandkids,Jacob and Cruz Rodriguez.

Known partly for her career as a hairdresser and youth educational aid assisting Spanish speaking children with learning English, before retiring to be a full-time Grandmother.

Even to those not related, she was best known for her exceptional way of feeding people's souls through their stomachs, whether it be Menudo/Posole or a variety of her famous dishes for family gatherings, donations to a former Pony Baseball League in Oxnard, to feeding entire youth teams with breakfast burritos she spent hours making,seasoned with motherly love.

She will forever be missed and celebrated on Friday November 14th - 830am Viewing @ Garcia Mortuary and 10am Mass @ St. Anthony's.
