Rosemarie (Chavira) Corona was born on August 19,1946 in Oxnard, California, and passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday February 7, 2026, in Ventura, California. She lived a life rooted in love, strength, and steadfast loyalty to the people she cared about.

Rosemarie was preceded in death by her father, Manuel Chavira Sr.; her mother, Jennie Chavira; her brother, Manuel Chavira Jr.; and her beloved nephew, Christian Guerra. While their loss was deeply felt, she carried their memory with her always.

She is survived by her loving sisters, Christina Guzman, Leilani Banales, and Laurita Sword. She leaves behind cherished nieces and nephews Brandi Sword, Amber Sword, Angelique Sword, Spencer Sword, and Matthew Balades, as well as her adored great-nieces and great-nephews, Kinsley, Gavin, and Jaxon. Rosemarie also leaves behind many lifelong friends, people she lovingly chose as family.

Rosemarie retired from Verizon Communications, where she was known not only as a dedicated employee but as a passionate and fearless union advocate. For many years, she stood up for workers' rights, never hesitating to speak out when something wasn't right. Her voice was strong, her convictions clear, and her heart always in the right place.

She will be remembered for her deep dedication to family and friends, her love of food and adventure, and her fearlessness in speaking her mind. Rosemarie was known throughout her life for her strength, honesty, and unwavering loyalty to those she loved.

Though she will be deeply missed, Rosemarie's legacy lives on in the stories shared, the meals enjoyed together, the laughter she inspired, and the countless lives she touched through her kindness and courage.

The family will gather privately to celebrate and honor her life.
