It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Sammy P. Ishizuka on April 10, 2026.

Sammy was preceded in death by his father, Sam B. Ishizuka; his brother, Jimmy P. Ishizuka; and his nephew, Alex Ambriz. He is survived by his wife, Cheyanne P. Ishizuka; his beloved daughter, Jazmine P. Ishizuka; his mother, Helen Perez Ishizuka; and his sister, Monica Ishizuka Ramirez (Mario). He also leaves behind his treasured nieces and nephews: Carmen, Alina, and Mario Ishizuka Ramirez Jr., James, Samuel, Madison, Miranda, Alex, and Alyssa Ambriz.

Sammy was an exceptional father who never failed to love, guide, and protect his daughter. He shared a deep and special bond with his nieces and nephews, often creating lasting memories through travel and time spent together.

He was a graduate of Santa Clara High School in Oxnard and UC Santa Barbara. Sammy found great joy in traveling, working on his N-scale model train collection, and exploring new foods and experiences. He dedicated over 35 years of service to the Department of Defense at Point Mugu Naval Base, where he was respected for his commitment and strong work ethic.

Sammy will be deeply missed and forever remembered. His legacy of honesty, loyalty, and unwavering strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
