With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Socorro Castorena. With her two daughters by her side, Socorro's spirit departed, leaving behind a profound legacy. As a preschool teacher in the Conejo Valley for more than 10 years, Socorro touched many lives and was always a strong advocate for education. Those that knew her personally knew that she was always ready to help, to give, and to share an encouraging word to those that needed it. As a mom, she loved spending time with her daughters, and they share very fond memories of their time with her.

She was the best mom, and a bright, positive, and loving light that will now live on in our hearts.

Guests are encouraged to share some words or memories of their time with her, and a cash donation box will also be available at the service. If you'd like to bring a small bouquet of flowers to honor her memory, they will also be welcome.

Con el corazón arrugado anunciamos el fallecimiento de Socorro Castorena. Rodeada de sus dos hijas, el espíritu de Socorro partió, dejando atrás un legado profundo. Como maestra de preescolar en Conejo Valley por más de 10 años, Socorro tocó muchas vidas y siempre fue una firme defensora de la educación. Aquellos que la conocieron personalmente, sabían que siempre estaba dispuesta ayudar y siempre tenía una palabra de aliento para quienes la ocuparan. Como madre, amaba pasar tiempo con sus hijas, y ellas comparten recuerdos muy queridos de su tiempo con ella. Ella fue la mejor madre, y una luz brillante, positiva y amorosa que ahora vivirá en nuestros corazones.
