Virginia Luque Benites passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 95. She was born on September 28, 1930, in Santa Paula, California, to Serapio Luque and Carmen Lovio, who preceded her in death.

Virginia was a devoted Catholic whose faith guided her throughout her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished matriarch of her family. She was blessed with a large and loving family of seven sisters and two brothers.

Virginia lived in Juchipila, Zacatecas, for over forty years, where she loved life on her ranch in Mexico. She especially enjoyed attending charreadas held on her property, which brought her great joy and allowed her to gather family and community together.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Daniel Benites; her children Susan Sandoval, Sandra Argott, and Craig Benites; her grandson Anthony Burboa; and her siblings Tillie Borrego, Eddie Luque, and Dora Valdez.

She is survived by her loving children Penny Gomez (Gilbert Sr.), Kathy Lopez (Fausto Sr.), and Yvonne Carrillo (J.R.). She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 25 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant source of pride and joy.

Virginia will be remembered for her unwavering faith, strength, kindness, and deep devotion to her family. Her legacy of love, tradition, and faith will live on through the many generations she helped raise and inspire.

Funeral services will be held on January 9, 2026, at Guadalupe Church in Santa Paula, California. The Rosary will begin at 9:15 a.m., followed by Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Pierce Brothers Cemetery, Santa Paula, California.
