Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and niece Vonnetta Sherri Blount, aka "yammy" passed away September 26,2024. Vonnetta was born April 29,1974 in Oxnard, California to Darline Price-Williams and Curtis Lee Blount Jr., Stepdaughter to Samuel S. Williams Jr.

Vonnetta was mother to Georgie Herbert Jennings, Annissa Darlene Meza and Aaliyah Ashjanti Meza. Grandmother to Bria HHHazelynn Smith. Stepsons Jose Meza Jr. and Anthony Meza. Older sister to Eureka Williams, Crystal Williams, and Taiwan Cameron. Vonnetta was blessed to have many nieces and nephews along with aunts and uncles and many cousins. She is joined in death with her mother and father, her son, grandmothers and a bunch of aunts and uncles.

She attended Hueneme High School and graduated in 1992. She began her career preparing taxes and did medical billing and coding. Vonnetta enjoyed doing hair and nails.

Our mother lived her life to the fullest. She adored spending time and being around her daughters and granddaughter. She also made it important to talk to her sisters and her cousin Ej often. Vonnetta was the life of the party, she would sing even though she wouldn't know the words and dance like no one was watching. She took pride in loving her pets. Cooper was her support dog through her hard times in which she adored him as if he was her child.

Vonnetta's relationship with her faith was reintroduced by a dear friend of hers. Vonnetta attended Victory outreach. She was somewhat religious yet profoundly spiritual in her actions and in the love, she extended to others.
