Willie Clark Jr, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2024, in Ventura, California. He was born August the 5th, 1952 in Austin, Texas, and has been a resident of Oxnard, CA. For 48 years. He served his country and received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army.
Willie attended public school in Austin, Texas, and later Oxnard college in Ventura County. He worked at the CBC Naval Base, Tiny Giants and Tradewinds. He also worked at Kmart and Marshalls.
Willie loved volunteering; his passion was to volunteer for the Boys and Girls Club, PAL, the after-school program Channel Islands High School also coaching the girls team. He was a coach for the boys' basketball, flag football, T-ball, and baseball. As well as volunteering for the District Attorney's office in Ventura CA.
Willie and his family were longtime members of New Hope Baptist Church in Oxnard, where he received his calling as a Deacon. They later transferred their membership to Saint Paul Baptist Church under the direction of Bishop B. A. Huggins and later Evangelistic Missionary Baptist Church under the direction of Pastor Torrence K. Nivens.
Willie's legacy was his faith in God and love for his family, church, community, and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife Beverly Clark; two sons Joseph Wilson (Reno, NV) and Willie R. Clark (Oxnard, CA); one daughter Ashala Patton (Oxnard, CA). Four granddaughters, MyAngel Patton, Uniqua Clark, and Faith Haynesworth (Oxnard, CA.), Amariah Wilson (Reno, NV) and 1 Goddaughter Diamond Woods (Oxnard, CA). Three Grandsons, Malik Patton (Bakersfield CA), Da'Shaye Williams (Oxnard, CA), and Matthew Wilson (Reno, NV). One Great Grandson, Zay'vion Thompson (Oxnard, CA.) Five brothers Dietrich, Reginald, Alvin, Williketh Clark, Ammie Wright Jr., and one Sister Gayle Clark, all of Texas And also, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father Willie Clark; Mother Juanita M. Wingwood; Grandfather Columbus Maxwell; Grandmother Inez Jones. Sisters Brenda J. Clark; Linda L. Clark. Brother Raymond S. Clark; Aunt Stella M. Nixon; Nephew Tyrone L. Clark.
